Training is progressing nicely. I'm taking it slow - possibly too slow, but we'll see. At this point, I'd rather be healthy and behind in training, than hurt and not running at all. 4th highest month in 2011 - only running 143 miles for the month (pathetic) with 4 days to go.
I have friends who run more in 8 days than I have in this month. If that's not some perspective on training, then I don't know what is. But everyone has a starting point. I have lofty goals, so I can only go up from here!
Tomorrow I'm heading to Wissahickon in Philly to run. Thinking about some sort of "up beat" run. Faster than basic run pace, slower than a tempo. Just wanting to see where I am and how I feel.
Any thoughts on just-coming-back workouts that won't break me down, but will allow me to get in some idea of where I am?
